OUR MISSION: To improve the lives of individuals and businesses in the area by providing spiritual and practical support to people in job or career transitions.
As a faith-based and community organization, job seekers can confidentially receive FREE training and support while looking for jobs and employers can gain FREE access to qualified candidates.
The concept for this ministry arose from the realization that people we knew were out of work but were perhaps uncomfortable telling everyone about it, let alone ask for help. Some are in dire financial distress. Others are emotionally and spiritually exhausted. We understand this and are here to help. This program was established to minister to your needs in a confidential, professional and spiritually-based manner.
Anyone interested in receiving assistance in finding new employment. It’s not limited to attendees of Getwell Road church. It’s open to friends, neighbors, anyone in the community.
Nothing. Skilled volunteers from around the region are contributing their time, expertise and contacts to assist you – for free. The volunteer base is made up of HR directors, CEOs, recruiters and many others with a wide range of relevant experience.
What types of jobs will this ministry help find?
Every person in our geographic area who is looking for employment is encouraged to utilize the free services of this ministry, and will likely receive some immediate benefit. Whether you are a displaced executive or looking for a part-time hourly position, we are here to help you improve your chances of finding employment. Regardless of the type of work you are looking for, we are here to help you.
The short answer is: whatever you need. You will be confidentially assisted by volunteers who will:
• First, talk with you to understand your situation.
• Review your skills, experience and passion.
• Help you with your resume.
• Help you prepare for interviewing.
• Introduce you to all of the tools & job boards
located in our Resource Center at the church.
• Help you seek out opportunities.
• Be in prayer with you during your search
Everyone is in a different place with their job search, so you may not need all of the services we have to offer. But here are just some of the ways you can benefit:

Where is the Resource Center?
Getwell Road Church has graciously donated a room for our Resource Center. It’s Room 3205 in the Family Life Center. The center is set up to provide you with the individual, customized services you’ll need. The church is located at 7875 Getwell Road. For directions, visit their website at getwellroad.org. How do I get started receiving help?
Send an email to jobministry@getwellroad.org letting us know what types of jobs interest you and a convenient time for you to meet, and we’ll take it from there. Once we know when you are available, we’ll match that time slot up with a ministry volunteer to confidentially meet with you and begin to build a custom approach to assisting you.
